In implementation of the new Financial Model of the Iccrea Banking Group, activities for the procurement of funds on the financial markets in relation to the needs of the Banking Group are delegated principally to Iccrea Banca. However, Iccrea BancaImpresa remain responsible, among other things, for activities connected with:
- securitization transactions;
- financing from subsidizing bodies;
- dedicated loans from national or international financing bodies (e.g.: BEI, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti).
Iccrea BancaImpresa S.p.A. continues to manage funds acquired on the market, prior to implementation of the new model, through bilateral loan transactions and bonded loans.
With the new Financial Model of the Iccrea Banking Group, loans are acquired by Iccrea Banca.
From the very beginning, Iccrea BancaImpresa has been active in utilising the credit ceiling provided by the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti to support access to credit for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Iccrea BancaImpresa adhered to the initiative of the First Convention (May 2009), of the Second Convention (February 2010), of the Third Convention (December 2010) and of the Fourth Convention (March 2012) between the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and the Italian Banking Association (ABI).
Iccrea BancaImpresa is also active in utilising the funds provided by the European Investment Bank to support access to credit for small to medium-sized enterprises.
In particular, the following operations were executed over the last few years: 2007 - EUR 350.0 million, 2009 - 327.0 million and 2011 - 287.6 million.
Iccrea BancaImpresa S.p.A. former Banca Agrileasing issued, before the implementation of the new Financial Model of the Banking Group, domestic and foreign bond loans (of various types, including subordinate Lower Tier 2 and Upper Tier 2) listed in Luxembourg under the EMTN Programme, some of which are still outstanding. With the new model, the bond issues of Iccrea BancaImpresa S.p.A. are fully subscribed by Iccrea Banca (private placements).
On 31 December 2014, the total value of current issued bonds was approximately EUR 3.7 thousand million, including intra-group transactions of approximately EUR 3.5 thousand million.
